21 September 2008 - Dennis Ingham Memorial, Friskney Bowmen

8 archers from Silverspoon attended this year's Dennis Ingham Memorial competition at Friskney. The weather was excellent all day, although a low sun later in the afternoon made shooting a little more difficult.

In the Gents Recurve Hereford, Paul Kendall was 3rd with 1088 (PB and new club record), whilst John Fisher was only just short of a PB, with 901 for 6th place. Rory Campbell and Ian Forsyth, both from Grimsby AC, were 1st and 2nd respectively, with 1170 and 1098.

In the Ladies Recurve Hereford, Lynn Fisher was 3rd with 913 and Steph Mountney 4th with 728. Emma Shadlock of Grimsby AC was 1st with 1015.

Dan Smith shot 1226 for 2nd place (PB and a new club record) in the Gents Compound Hereford. Jim Lloyd was 6th with 1066. 1st place went to Graham Crampin of Grimsby AC with 1244.

Oliver Tagg shot a new PB of 978 in the Junior Gents Bristol II and Ryan Mountney scored 787 in the Junior Gents Bristol III.

14 September 2008 - Western, Bingham AC

Excellent weather greeted the 5 archers from Silverspoon Bowmen who visited Bingham, in Nottinghamshire, to shoot a Western.

Ryan Mountney shot 651 in the Junior Gents Recurve 40/30.

In the Ladies Recurve, Lynn Fisher shot 647 and Steph Mountney 590, for 4th and 6th place, respectively.

In the Gents Recurve, Paul kendall shot 768 (PB and new club record) for 2nd place, whilst John Fisher finished 8th with 663.

2008 Senior Intercounties

To mark the 50th anniversary of the Thoresby Trophy, the EMAS Senior Intercounties competition returned to it's original venue - Thoresby Hall in Nottinghamshire.

118 archers, representing 5 counties, attended.

Silverspoon Bowmen's Paul Kendall, Sam Newton and Maria Tucker were part of the Lincolnshire team that finished 2nd in the recurve competition (our best result for a number of years) and 4th in the Compound class.
